Update: Two prisoners killed, over 25 injured in Negombo Prison violence

Colombo, July 5 (Daily Mirror) - Two inmates were killed and more than 25 others injured following a clash between two groups of prisoners at the Negombo Prison on Saturday, hospital sources said.

The clash reportedly broke out around noon inside the prison. The circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been disclosed.

More than 25 injured inmates were admitted to the Negombo Hospital for treatment. Hospital sources confirmed that two of the injured prisoners later succumbed to their injuries.
