Update: CA dismisses 60 writ petitions challenging rejection of nominations

Colombo, April 21 (Daily Mirror) - The Court of Appeal today ordered the dismissal of about 60 writ petitions filed challenging the rejection of nominations related to the Local Government elections.

The Court of Appeal, made this order after considering several writ petitions that had been filed by several political parties and independent groups challenging the rejection of nomination papers, which were taken up for hearing.
