UNP shedding ties with People’s Alliance is fake

Colombo, Sept. 7 (Daily Mirror) - The story which is being carried under a United National Party (UNP) letter-head that the party is shedding ties with the People's Alliance is fake, an official statement from the party said today.

The UNP, in an official statement, requested the public not to get deceived by this fake news.

The statement said an interested group is using its letterhead to send fake news as it has been done before.
