UK provides $890,000 in emergency aid to Sri Lanka after cyclone Ditwah

As Sri Lanka begins to recover from the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, the United Kingdom has pledged $890,000 (£675,000) in urgent humanitarian support.

The aid will be delivered in collaboration with the Red Cross, the United Nations in Sri Lanka, and local partners, providing emergency supplies and life-saving care to affected communities.

UK officials said the support aims to address immediate needs, including food, shelter, and medical assistance, for those displaced or severely impacted by the cyclone.
