The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has strongly condemned what it described as blatant Iranian missile attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and several brotherly nations in the region, calling the actions a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.
In an official statement, the UAE denounced the attacks in the strongest terms, emphasizing that such actions constitute a clear breach of the Charter of the United Nations and pose a direct threat to regional security and stability.
The Ministry affirmed the UAE’s full solidarity and unwavering support for countries affected by the attacks, stressing that the security of regional states is indivisible. It warned that any infringement on the sovereignty of a state threatens not only regional peace but also global economic and energy stability.
The UAE reiterated its categorical rejection of using the territories of regional states as arenas for settling disputes or expanding conflicts. It cautioned against continued violations, noting their grave consequences for both regional and international security.
Calling for restraint, the UAE urged all parties to pursue diplomatic solutions and engage in serious dialogue, describing diplomacy as the most effective path to resolving the current crisis and safeguarding stability.
The statement further underscored that the UAE retains its full and legitimate right to respond to the attacks in a manner that protects its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity, in accordance with international law. It stressed that the country would not tolerate any compromise to its security under any circumstances.
The UAE also conveyed its sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of a Pakistani national who lost his life in the attacks, expressing solidarity with them. The Ministry reiterated that the targeting of civilians and civilian objects is unequivocally condemned and strictly prohibited under international humanitarian law.
