Two shooting incidents reported in Colombo and Negombo

Two separate shooting incidents were reported in the Grandpass police division and in Negombo last night and this morning, police said.

A 26-year-old resident of Kelaniya was killed in a shooting near the Mahawatta clock tower in Grandpass last night (5). Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had opened fire at the victim before fleeing the scene. The injured man was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police suspect a revolver-type firearm was used in the shooting, while the motive is yet to be established. Grandpass Police have launched investigations to arrest the suspects.

Meanwhile, another shooting was reported at around 1:38 a.m. today (6) in the Kuttuduwa area of Negombo. Two individuals on a motorcycle had opened fire at a residence and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and police suspect the incident may be linked to a financial dispute.

No they were brought in to frame other politicians but the shootings are bring carried out as usual. Oh yeah. May be it will be on daily basis.

The underwork is in panic mode as they are getting exposed. They are trying hard to coverup the footprints. This is the reason for the increase in shootings. This is not the wild west for anyone to carry a gun as shot to kill. This is organised crime.
