Two new deputy governors appointed to Central Bank

Colombo, Oct. 28 (Daily Mirror) - The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (BCSL) has announced the appointment of two new Deputy Governors, confirmed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as Minister of Finance.

Dr. C. Amarasekara, formerly an Assistant Governor of the Central Bank, will assume his role as Deputy Governor effective 24 October 2025. K.G.P. Sirikumara, also a former Assistant Governor, will take office on 3 November 2025.

The appointments are part of the Central Bank’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and oversight within the institution.
