Two killed in Southern Expressway accident
Two people aged 72 and 61 were killed when a bowser truck crashed into a tipper truck on the Southern Expressway this morning, Police said.
They said the bowser truck heading to Mattala from Kottawa had crashed into the tipper truck parked carelessely between the Paratuwa and Kapuduwa interchanges on the Expressay
Police Spokseman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the driver of the tipper truck had died on the spot while the driver of the bowser truck died on admision to the Matara Hospital.
Assistant of the bowser truck was admitted to the Matara Hospital with critical injuries.
