Two fire incidents in Colombo; no casualties reported

Two separate fires broke out in Colombo this afternoon, the Fire Brigade said.

The first blaze occurred on Vauxhall Street, where a fire that began in one building spread to an adjacent structure. 

Five fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to bring the situation under control.

Meanwhile, another fire was reported near the BCC Bridge on Armour Street, where a row of shops was engulfed in flames.

In response, three fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the second blaze.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported in either incident.
