Two die, three injured in head-on collision at Warakapola

Two persons including a seven-year-old child died and three others were injured when a CTB bus collided head-on with a three-wheeler in Thulhiriya in Warakaola police area this evening, Police said.

They said the injured were admitted to the Warakapola Hospital.

The victims were from Beruwala and were returning from Kekirawa when the tragedy struck.

More road deaths, than Covid 19. No emphasis given to over speeding and overtaking. Head on collition due to driving long hours without breaks, which causes sleeplessness. One man's negligence causes death of the innocent.

When I step out from house to go out with my bike everyday i come across somany drivers riders drivers frantically for no reason putting everyone in danger they have no basic knowledge about driver safty specialy bikes treewheelers and buses got no respect for road uses they wil not give pedestrians to cross in roundabouts wil not allow rightaway when someone in front this drivers go crazy got no patients even at crossing lights before the green light they simply go nuts with honking pls someone need to resurrect this terrible drivers if possible...When given a driver's license strict guidelines must be introduced heavy penalties must introduced increase police oprations to keep out dangerous drivers from roads Inc cancellation of lisence and reapplying accordingly .wil improve once the message get a cross its about time to improve safty for all road user's

Police is responsible for these accidents because they over look the way these private bus drivers drive recklessly in Kandy Colombo Road.
