The Habaraduwa police have arrested the owner and an employee of a massage centre in the Yaddehimulla area of Unawatuna over the sexual assault on a 38-year-old Irish woman, Police said.
The incident occurred at a massage parlour that specifically caters to tourists.
According to police, both the owner and employee have been charged not only with sexually assaulting the victim but also for aiding and abetting the molestation.
Police revealed that the Irish woman had visited the massage centre yesterday (16) to avail herself of their services.
While receiving a massage, she was subjected to unwanted advances of the suspect, who proceeded to molest her.
The victim, whose identity has been withheld for reasons of privacy, immediately reported the assault to the police. Prompt action was taken by the Habaraduwa police, resulting in the arrest of the suspects involved. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

But nothing will happen. Remember Vithanapathirana Tangalle case. It took more than one year just to arrest him for murdering a Britisher and raping his Russian Girl friend. Having done 'Dastardly Deed', many in this country, if ever anybody dares to Query or even Question, DENY outright first and foremost and then add seemingly convincingly too, that the complaint is because of 'HISTORICAL ANTIPATHY' towards the Massage Parlours in the Deep South, because the massage parlours don't offer 'FREEBEES' in respect of those specific, explorative type, "special Massages"!?Only available for USD!!? What for the telling??? tell the Marines, even then UNBELIEVABLE!!!???

May be they got aroused after seeing the foreign woman half naked. Sick guys. Massage parlours in Sri Lanka are actually semi brothels. The professional massage therapists are available only at 5 star hotels. All other roadside parlours are for sexual services.

Unlike in advanced countries employing genuinely qualified masseuses, the foreigners shouldn't take for granted all massage joints in Sri Lanka. Most are a cover for sexual misdemeanours. In any case, over here, women must not seek massage services from men - you will be exploited 100% 'cos of ya ignorance.

Typical. Someone even a tourist complaining does not make it a fact. She could have had had a dispute about the price or something else and taken revenge by complaining. We should wait for the facts
