Two Indian drug traffickers get life imprisonment

Two Indian nationals who were found guilty of importing, possessing and smuggling heroin in Sri Lanka, were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Negombo High Court today, police said.

They said one Indian national was arrested by the Sri Lanka Customs on August 28, 2016, for smuggling 212 grams of heroin and handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) while the other Indian national was arrested by the PNB on December 28, 2017, for smuggling 838 grams of heroin.
