Train strike called off; train services to resume
The trade union action launched by the Locomotive Engine Operators' Union (LEOU) and Railway Guards has been called off following discussions with the Railways General Manager (GMR), a senior official said.
He said the GMR had agreed to provide solutions to their demands.
He said a total of 25 train services were cancelled during the strike.
The strike action was launched from noon today to 4.15 p.m. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
