Train derails in Rambukkana



Colombo, June 13 (Daily Mirror) - A train operating in the Rambukkana area derailed while in service today, according to the Railway Department of Sri Lanka.

Superintendent of Train Operations, Asanka Samarasinghe, said that the train, which was scheduled to operate from Rambukkana to Panadura, derailed during its journey.

Authorities have assured the public that the incident is not expected to cause any disruptions or delays to regular train services.

Railway officials have already begun operations to re-rail the affected train and restore normal conditions at the site.
