Tourist rescued from drowning in Mirissa

Colombo, Sept. 18 (Daily Mirror) - A 28-year-old Austrian tourist was rescued from drowning while swimming in the seas off Mirissa yesterday afternoon.

Police said the woman had been swept away by a strong current while bathing at Mirissa Beach.

She was pulled to safety by a team of police lifeguards who were on duty at the time.
