Top Chinese delegation meets Anura Kumara

Colombo, April 23 (Daily Mirror)-A top delegation of the Chinese Communist Party headed by Vice Minister of the International Department, Sun Haiyan met National People's Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the JVP head office today.

The delegation included head of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party Liu Jianchao and Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka Chen Xiang Yuan.

They discussed matters related to the current political situation in the country and upcoming elections.

The NPP representatives briefed the delegation about the NPP's preparation for the election and the need to create political stability to rescue the country from the crisis situation.

NPP MPs Vijitha Herath, Harini Amarasuriya, NPP members Sunil Hadunnetti and Prof. Anil Jayantha participated in the discussion.

To be a leader of a country you don't have to speak a foreign language. You should take pride in your own language, heritage and culture. It does not mean that he cannot read, write of speak in English. There are many other world leaders who only speak in their own language. Just look at the Russian President.

Many countries have leaders who primarily communicate in languages other than English. For example, in China, the President and other high-ranking officials primarily use Mandarin Chinese. In Russia, the President and other officials typically use Russian. Similarly, leaders in countries like France, Germany, Japan, and Brazil primarily use their respective native languages for official communication. @ Jayantha - Slaves, having an inferrioty complex being a SriLankan, like you are one of the reasons why our country is in this situation.

I have met AKD once - on 21/01/2023. We talked, one to one for five minutes, in Sinhala. However, I have spent thousands of hours listening to him. In some of those meetings the language was English. When questions were asked in English, he used to answer, to the point, in Sinhala. From his body language it is clear to me that he UNDERSTANDS English quite well. However, I also realise that if he speaks English, there will be errors. He's doing fine, as it is.

It’s not a casual visit of a diplomatic mission,it’s a visit of foreign diplomat with great respect to a office of small opposition party,but important is ,that’s after sequence of serious observations on whom would be in power, after next couple of months,NPP, will change self centered policy of SL politicians to people friendly policy,there they want very high degree of transparency for all dealings done by crook politicians with unscrupulous agencies in china, for that ,NPP needs PRC would have to play mutually supportive role, to identify all stolen wealth of SriLankans by MR family, who recognized as the worst crooks in Asia

Not sure about the politics but the Chinese have the ability to deliver as they are way ahead of any other country in the world in many respects, in my view. But WE have to know what we want, get our priorities right first, and this has nothing to do with parties or politics. It is all about Sincerity, Dedication, love for the country.
