Thundershowers expected in several provinces after 1 p.m

Colombo, May 10 (Daily Mirror) - Thundershowers are expected in several areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern Provinces, as well as in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts, after 1:00 p.m.

The Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said that showers may also occur in the Western Province and in the Puttalam, Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts during the morning.

The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces during the morning.
