Three remanded over triple murder in Ambalantota

Colombo, Feb 04 (Daily Mirror) - Three suspects who were arrested over the murder of three persons in the Mamadala area of Ambalantota were remanded till February 13.

A 13-year-old suspect involved in the case has been sent for probation at the Kithulangoda Detention Centre.

The suspects were arrested on February 3 following a joint operation by the Ambalantota, Tangalle and Hungama police stations.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the murders occurred on February 2, following a dispute over illicit liquor.

13YEAR OLD SUSPECT CHILD INVOLVED IN THIS CASE SENT FOR PROBATION TO A DETENTION CENTRE!!!. BOTH THE PARENTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOCKED UP TOO. PARENTS HAVE THEV RESPONSIBILITY OF BRINGING UP THEIR CHILDREN AND ENSURING THEY GET EDUCATED UNTIL THEY LEAVE HOME AND THIS YOUNG CHILD INVOLVED IN A TRIPPLE MURDER!!. THE COUNTRY NEEDS A REHAB CENTRE FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS AND PARENTS SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN GET INVOLVED IN SUCH CRIMES.

Can't always blame parents. Children are spiritually and moraly bankrupt nowadays. Digital media has made them search for quick easy pleasures.

What a silly comment. To assume all children have parents shows you are out of touch with reality. Many of these children who are drawn into a life of crime do it because they either come from broken families, abusive homes or have no family due to abandonment or death of parents. Sitting there and judging like you are so pure!
