Three killed in three-wheeler-lorry collision

Kurunegala, Jan. 27 (Daily Mirror)- Two men and a woman were killed after a three-wheeler they were travelling in collided head-on with a lorry at Kivulgalla in Narammala this morning, Police said.

The driver of the three-wheeler, two women and a man who were critically injured were admitted to the Narammala Hospital where one man was pronouned dead on admission while the three-wheeler driver and a woman died after being admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital.

The deceased are 50 and 53 years-old men and a 61-year-old woman from the Kelaniya and Wattala areas.

The injured woman is receiving treatment at the Kurunegala Hospital.

The driver of the lorry was arrested in connection with the accident.

Three wheelers are the major hazardous vehicles on the road in ways. Most vulnerable, unsafe and killer ones. They involve directly or indirectly in accidents. Should be banned for betterment of the country. They are Indian rubbish.
