Three dead in Bondi Beach shooting

The Telegraph - At least three people were killed and six injured as gunmen opened fire at a Hanukkah party on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia on Sunday.

More than 50 gunshots were heard as an estimated 2,000 people fled. Videos posted on social media show two men dressed in black firing rifles indiscriminately towards the beach from a car park as sirens sound in the distance.

Some reports are claiming that there were stabbings in addition to gunfire at the event for Hannukah, which is a Jewish celebration.

New South Wales (NSW) Police said they were responding to “a developing incident at Bondi Beach” and urged the public to “AVOID the area”.

A spokesperson for Anthony Albanese, the Australian prime minister, said he had been made aware of the situation, adding: “We urge people in the vicinity to follow information from NSW Police.”
