Three-day Dengue Prevention programme launched in eight districts

Colombo, March 27 (Daily Mirror) - The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) launched a special three-day Dengue prevention programme in eight districts.

The programme was launched in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Matale and Matara districts.

Sri Lanka has recorded a significant rise in dengue cases, with a total of 11,402 reported, according to the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU).

Consultant Community Physician Dr. Preshila Samaraweera stated that seven people have died due to dengue.
