Three arrested over Middeniya double murder

Colombo, Sept. 8 (Daily Mirror) - Three suspects were arrested this morning in connection with the incident where two youths were shot dead in Thorakolayaya, Middeniya in June this year.

Police have taken into custody a cache of weapons and ammunition, including 18 rounds of T-56 ammunition, two magazines, a 9mm pistol, 58 bullets, a 12 bore shotgun, a pair of handcuffs and 300 mg of heroin.

The arrested suspects are 24, 25 and 26-year-old residents of Thorakolayaya, Middeniya and are connected to drug smuggling.

Police recovered the bodies of two young men who were shot dead in Thorakolayaya, Middeniya in June this year.
