Thomians in seventh heaven in England

S. Thomas’ College, the victorious big match winners of the 146th Battle of the Blues cricket encounter against traditional rivals Royal College, left the island on a tour of England where they will play seven matches starting tomorrow.

The tour was made possible by the Old Thomians’ Association of the United Kingdom (OTAUK) spearheaded by Raveentraraja Nirushan the incumbent President of the OATUK and his committee.

The Thomians will play their first match against Oxford Cricket Club followed by the second match on August 24 against Ealing Cricket Club, August 25 versus Old Wilsonians Cricket Club, August 26 versus Hennel Hempstead Town Cricket, August 28 versus Trinity Mid-Whitgiftian Cricket Club, September 2 versus Harborne Cricket Club and the last match on September 6 versus Merchant Taylor’s School.

The Thomians will also be given a tour of the Lord’s Cricket Ground on September 5 and a dinner hosted by Lord James Wharton of Yarm at the Palace of Westminster on September 6.
