Tense situation outside Fort Magistrate’s Court
A tense situation was reported outside the Fort Magistrate’s Court a short while ago as supporters of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe gathered following news of him being remanded.
The crowd, which had assembled earlier to show support, reacted with concern after the court’s decision.
STF units and additional police teams were deployed near the court to manage the situation and ensure order.
