Are they affected by taxation too? VAT or how else, because Thera would never declare donations as income however much it is that is given to them.

Real monks don't get involved in politics. These monks seem to have more time to be involved in proteets and politics than meditate or preach. The downfall of this country and the depravity of a so-called "Buddhist" nation is partly due to the leverage of the saffron robe.

For the 2500 history Maha sangha came forward when a harmful incident occurs. 13 is not badly effects North an East but in almost all PCs. Powerful politicians and others will enjoy all benefits while mostly suffer.
