These protests are backed by the opposition parliamentarians. Thus their motive is very clear they want the local government election won by showing the defects of the ruling party. However the people will wisely cast their vote in right manner. Eventually The NPP will win all local government bodies. We don’t know whether the opposition parties will have an ability to win at least single local government entity with a substantial majority

When i graduated from the Moratuwa University (the called the Katubedda Campus, University of Sri Lanka) in electrical engineering there were no employment opportunities in the state sector. I (we) did not ask for state employment but joined the private sector and did well. I do no understand as to why after getting a free education, they need employment on a plater. Ridicules.

If they can't even find a job by themselves or start their own business, what is the purpose of their education and qualifications? This routine of government offering jobs for graduates should stop. This would have initiated long time back for polical gains and votes and now its a headache to the government itself

The American government workers who lost their jobs at the hands of Elon Musk should show a video of this lot to him. Elon would get an instant picture of how bad it is elsewhere in the world and how taxpayer money is robbed by freeloaders compared to the US, he will immediately reinstall those people back in their jobs.

All Sri Lankan receiving free university should get a type of employment, but the work has to be provided free by the graduates . That is no cost to government, they do in effect work experience as preparation for real paid work.

Government has to export out this problem, and make some dollars in the process. Government can do that by offering them housemaid job in Middle East, and help them get driver job, after getting them driver licence. Giving them job for no effort here is unfair to the public.

There are many opportunities for graduates for those who are willing to work hard in private sector. When i joined private sector, I did not have a university degree. But i manage to work my way up with commitment, dedication

Dear friends. I want to ask a simple question. Why is that the Uni students demand jobs from the government. Are they no educated enough to apply for private sector jobs. Every year how any government be able to allocate jobs for such a large amount. Why are Sri Lankan's counting on the government to provide them with everything.

Why don't the Govt. open up a JOB RECRUITING CENTRE for Govt. based Jobs. I remember there was one in Fort in the late 60's.

If they can't find a job or do something to earn money, they are unproductive bunch of youngsters. Not suitable for any government position.
