This is getting beyond a joke. Furthermore, most of these heavy vehicle drivers are required to drive excessive hours. Every casino in Sri Lanka requires their drivers to work 24 hour shifts without even providing them with a meal. How conducive is that to road safety ?

where are the Police when the reckless drivers are speeding. You see so many police check points where persons are stopped for ornaments in their vehicles or sundry offence implementing clean Sri lanka but not reckless driving.

Appoint 10,000 registered raod monitors on voluntary basis who should record road violations. They should be paid part of the fine enforced based on their videos. Or expand the CCTV system and whoever who is caught should be fired and repeat offenders should undergo attitude training. It is the overtaking attitude that kills many . Why can't they drive one after the other rather than trying to overtake from every where
