Teacher, three students drown in Batticaloa

The bodies of a teacher and  three students who were missing after a boat they were in capsized on a lake at Kokkaddicholai in Batticaloa, were found today.

Police said the boat was carrying 11 students including seven girls and 3 teachers when it capsized. 

Four people drowned and the rest of them were rescued.

The deceased were identified as  a 27-year-old teacher and three 16-year-old school students.

The Kokkaddicholai Police is investigating.(DSB)
