Teacher accused of molesting schoolgirl sent on compulsory leave: Ministry



Colombo, May 9 (Daily Mirror) - The teacher allegedly involved in the molestation of a schoolgirl from a leading school in Kotahena has been sent on compulsory leave following the submission of a police B report, the Ministry of Education confirmed today.

According to the ministry, immediate disciplinary action was taken in response to the serious nature of the allegations. 

“We have placed the teacher on compulsory leave with immediate effect, and an internal investigation has also been initiated,” the ministry added.
