President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in a new gazette notification has included new members to the Presidential Task Force for One Country, One Law and has amended its terms of reference.

Accordingly, Ramalingam Chakrawarthy Karunakaran, Yogeswari Patgunarajah and Iyyampillai Dayanandaraja have been appointed as new members of the Task Force.

According to the new gazette notification, the terms of reference of the said Task Force has been amended as Presenting proposals for formulating a conceptual framework ideally suited for Sri Lanka after making a study of the said concept taking into account the views and opinions held by various parties with regard to the implementation of the concept: “One Country, One Law”.

The moment I saw that news weeks ago, it came to my mind why there was no Tamil representation. However, it should be appreciated that they have corrected the mistake now. However, it is the question of an average person like me of this country that should our decision makers be more smarter than this rather than revising the Gazette many times. Are they really suitable to govern us?

This is created to divert the burning issue in this country. People and media should ignore this and focus on the main issues. Didn't we have the One law and one country before/now? there is but no one implemented it (top to bottom) and never will be in this country even 100 years go from today. Unless people change and read good books, develop their knowledge, then only you will vote for the good person to govern SL.
