Do you think this was Sri Lankans desire. This was because US tired of meeting give nothing Lankan delegations again and again, who all boast about US offering 1000 plus item concessions with no tariffs. Once the conferences are online US will record them, unlike in rooms without cameras. Sri Lanka will also secretly record them. US will set the meeting times to suit them, when Sri Lanka not giving concessions and it will be US day time, which will be witching hour for Lanka.

@Mizaru - It is because of Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe's adroit leadership that Sri Lanka was able recover from an economic quagmire very quickly. Can you remember how you stayed in queues for hours to obtain fuel and gas? Have you forgotten staying for 11 hours in the dark without electricity? I presume your brain may have not forgotten how ships with essential goods were docked at the Colombo harbour unable to unload cargo due to an acute shortage of foreign currency. I hope you will recall with pride, yes, with pride, how AKD and his comrades evaded assuming responsibility to lead the country during the zenith of the economic crisis. It was Hon. Wickremasinghe with just one seat in the parliament shouldered the burden of reviewing the nation. How ungrateful you people are! Yes, it is a very prudent decision to have discussions online instead of visiting the US wasting taxpayers' money to say "issa good quechchen".
