Colombo, June 12 (Daily Mirror) - The Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) is to take disciplinary action against two of its members in the Haldumulla Pradeshiya Sabha for voting in favour of the person who was nominated by the ruling National People's Power (NPP) as the chairman, party leader Mano Ganesan said today.

Ganesan alleged that the two members have been offered monetary rewards for joining the NPP.

"We curse the NPP for what it has done. The NPP came to power promising to bring about a system change. However, it seems to be following its predecessors," Ganesan added.

Both will loose seats. The act has the power to expel any member that goes against the party decision and already many lost seats previously. Any party who wish to gain power should try to come to agreement with other party leaders. Just bribe and taking support of individual members will not be beneficial on long term basis as budgets will get defeated when new members replaces those who went against the party decisions.

The only system change that could be carried out by the NPP is to introduce a new way of CORRUPTION than their predecessors. We believe the best system change that the people will introduce in the upcoming provincial election next year, eliminating the NPP regime.

Good one, jumped ship from an alliance party!!. More to jump when we go for the next elections and will see Anura/NPP back in for another term. Here we go as per usual!!. Majority know Anura/NPP will definitely make a change and have got on their way, but stalled from time to time, with more back log of corruption to iron out. Do not say the NPP are corrupt until you can prove your statement, or karma will come bite you with no notice as trying to bring disrepute to the govt will serve no purpose the majority is not moving from their choice.

Such claims, without evidence, risk undermining the credibility and reputation you’ve built over many years. If you have proof, present it—that is the proper way to challenge the NPP. However, if this is merely a deflection from your inability to manage your own party members, making arbitrary accusations is not the answer. Either substantiate your claims or move on.
