TID recovers 10 hand grenades; Hunt on for more

Colombo, October 1 (Daily Mirror) - The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID), probing suspects who fled with 100 hand grenades, recovered 10 of them in Modara yesterday.

Police earlier arrested three suspects in Kiribathgoda and Settikulama with a T-56 assault rifle and 86 hand grenades.

Subsequent investigations revealed that several other suspects had escaped with around 100 grenades. The Modara recovery was made during follow-up operations linked to the initial arrests.

Police said further investigations are underway in the incident.
