Suspect arrested over killing of funeral parlour owner

A 46-year-old suspect has been arrested by the Special Task Force of Police (STF) in connection with the shooting and killing of a funeral parlour owner at Middeniya in Embilipitiya.

The arrest was made during an operation carried out by the STF Southern Province Special Operations Unit.

A funeral parlour owner at Middeniya was killed during a shooting yesterday.

The suspect, a resident of Middeniya, was arrested near a shopping complex in the area. He was handed over to Middeniya Police for onward action.
