Supreme Court to hear Bathiudeen’s FR petition on March 25



Colombo, October 2 (Daily Mirror) - A Fundamental Rights petition filed by Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen, challenging his arrest and detention in 2021, was today fixed for hearing on March 25 next year by the Supreme Court.

Bathiudeen was arrested and detained by the CID over the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.

When the matter was called before a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Justices Shiran Gooneratne, Achala Wengappuli and Priyantha Fernando, the petition was fixed for support on March 25.
