Colombo, April 22 (Daily Mirror) - Amid recent claims by health trade unions, Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa assured the public that there is no shortage of insulin in the country.
Speaking at the weekly media briefing in Colombo to announce Cabinet decisions, the Minister said the government has already distributed enough insulin to last for the next four to six months, covering national needs until September.
He was responding to statements by health trade unions that insulin supplies will only last for another 10 days.
