Super diesel price to increase by Rs 18

Colombo, January 31 (Daily Mirror) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that the price of super diesel will increase by Rs 18, bringing the new price to Rs 331 per liter, effective from midnight tonight.

However, prices of other fuels will remain unchanged.

HE The President if the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lsnka recently said that fuel prices will be reduced despite world market prices were going up. Now the world market prices have come down , the prices are to be increased. Mr Dilkushani please share your views.

@Tissa—The NPP government was formed on a pack of lies. Before elections, they shouted on platforms that Rs 150 per litre of fuel goes as commission to the then minister in charge of petroleum, and they would reduce the fuel price overnight once they came to power. Did they fulfil the promise? NO. If the claim was true, why did the NPP government not initiate action against the (then) minister? The list of lies is endless!

Clearly you don't know world prices have gone up by more than 12% since the last revision. How CPC manage to keep prices the same, and super diesel with this nominal increase is unbelievable.

Or is everyone waiting till the NPP wins the local elections to fulfill their false promises? The Uganda Kumari is silent, she was last seen collecting garbage from a beach! That’s not enough lady! May be because Super diesel mainly used in diesel (V8) all wheel drives such as Range Rovers mainly used by Politicians who misused public Money when they were in power and could not afford such if they didn't do politics same as some Business People who got political backing to earn profits out from their business .

Petrol prices are subject to market forces and fluctuate accordingly. There may also be a lag in smaller markets due to supply delays. Stop blaming the government for every price rise.

Yes, just like you say wouldn't the same have been the bullshit forum they could have taken up rather than claim on political stages that the previous Minister was getting that into his pocket. Mine was a legitimate question. If what they claimed on their political stages was correct then where is that amount going to right now that they are unable to reduce. I am explaining in detail as you seem to have difficulty understanding and talking about rice. Try answering to the point, if you need to, than taking wild jabs without making any sense.
