SriLankan Airlines extends condolences

SriLankan Airlines today expressed its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in the unfortunate incident involving Air India flight AI171.

In a message shared on X this afternoon, SriLankan Airlines conveyed deep sorrow over the tragedy, extending thoughts and prayers to all those affected.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by this immense tragedy. In this time of sorrow, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues at Air India and the broader aviation community," the airline said.

It is a good gesture for Sri Lankan Airlines to extend condolences and stand in solidarity with our big brother and his airline. The ground staff must spend more time before passing an aircraft as fit to fly as anything missed can cause drastic consequences

Can't understand why Sri Lankan airlines still flying, haven't made annual profits since 2009 yeah for 16 years. Why government still funding this eternally money losing SriLankan airlines. Since Emirates contract arbitrary cancelled in 2009 the CUMULATIVE LOSS OVER 2 TRILLION RUPEES. PEOPLE YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY IS THAT!??? JUST TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA, THE MORAGHAKANDA PROJECT THE 2 DAMS COST RUPEES 48 BILLION AND 49 BILLION RESPECTIVELY AND LETS SAY BOTH DAMS COST 100 BILLION RUPEES AND THAT MEANS THE SL AIRLINES CUMULATIVE LOSS YOU CAN BUILD 20 PAIRS OF DAMS FOR THAT KIND OF GIGANTIC LOSS.
