Sri Lankan court releases six Indian fishermen

When will this violation of our waters stop? Until we achieve that end, we should confiscate their trawlers and their fishing gear. Repeated financial losses could deter further intrusion by the Tamilnadu fishermen into our territorial waters.

People talk about India giving us 4B credit line but the real objective of that transaction is becoming clear now. Indians have been stealing our fish for several decades. The economic loss from such thefts would amount to way above 4B. India supported creation of LTTE initially , the economic cost of subsequent civil war may be 40B. India has been pushing their low quality goods on us and the economic damage from such goods amounts to well in excess of 4B. Indians are forcing the government to sell our assets to them and there is a huge economic impact from that. They also pushed some agreement to allow Indians to work in Sri Lanka which resulted in hundreds of thousands of Indians working here while only a handful of Sri Lankans are able to work in India. JvP has been cultivating an anti India campaign but now its leader has changed the attitude after sensing the taste of potential power.
