Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to bat first against India in the final of the Asia Cup, at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
Sri Lanka made one change with Dushan Hemantha coming in for the injured Maheesh Theekshana while India had an injury replacement of their own as Washington Sundar was drafted in for Axar Patel.

Our batting weakness got exposed here massively. We came through qualifiers and to final here mainly with luck. SLC should sack the batting coach and get some Aussie coach. Also it is better to drop Shanaka and Dananjaya from odi squad. Or those two can be considered as ballers. No use in considering them as batting all rounders as no talent at all when it comes to batting.

What a pathetic performance by the team. It is good we have not named our World cup squad; hence changes should be made, our non-playing captain, constantly underperforming Shanaka should be replaced either Karunatrne or Mathews.
