Colombo, Jan 20 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lankan government has welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism expressed hope that the ceasefire will facilitate the exchange of hostages and detainees, the return of internally displaced persons to their homes in Gaza, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
"We are optimistic that these developments will pave the way for lasting peace in Palestine and the broader region," the Ministry added.
