Colombo, March 17 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka needs a Truth and Forgiving Commission while it has to be turned into a rainbow nation, Minister of Religeous Affairs and Buddha Sasana Sunil Senavi told Parliament today.

Speaking during the committee stage debate on the budget, the Minister said his Ministry will play a major role in establishing a Truth and Forgiving Commission.

"Sri Lanka needs to forgive each other like former South African President Nelson Mandela did," he said.

"April 21st is drawing near and we expect the Christians to forgive those who attacked churches on that day," he added.
