Sri Lanka names squad for Asia Cup

Colombo, August 28 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Panel has announced the 16-member national squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28.

Middle-order batter Charith Asalanka has been appointed captain.

Sri Lanka Squad:

  5.  Nuwanidu Fernando
  6.  Kamindu Mendis
  7.  Kamil Mishara

  11.  Chamika Karunaratne
  12.  Maheesh Theekshana
  13.  Dushmantha Chameera
  14.  Binura Fernando
  15.  Nuwan Thushara
  16.  Matheesha Pathirana

Sri Lanka Cricket noted that Wanindu Hasaranga’s participation will be subject to fitness clearance ahead of the tournament.
