Sri Lanka deliberates on Iranian vessel near territorial waters



Colombo, March 5 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lankan authorities are currently discussing the steps to be taken regarding another Iranian vessel lingering near the country’s territorial waters, a source said.

Another Iranian vessel is now loitering in international waters close to Sri Lanka. The source said the Defence Ministry, the Navy and the Presidential Secretariat are in discussions, and Sri Lanka’s position on the matter will be announced this evening.

An Iranian warship sank in Sri Lanka’s Exclusive Economic Zone yesterday following a submarine attack by the United States.
