Sri Lanka begins talks on strengthening digital workforce and institutions



Colombo, July 15 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka has launched discussions with international development partners to strengthen the country's digital transformation by focusing on human resources and institutional capacity alongside technology.

The inaugural meeting of the newly established Development Partner Working Group on Digital Transformation was held on July 13 with the aim of preparing the country for a more inclusive and effective digital future.

The discussion was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne and UN Resident Coordinator Marc-André Franche. Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy Waruna Sri Dhanapala, representatives of the United Nations and international development partners also attended the meeting.
