Sri Lanka's Emerging XI beat Japan by five wickets in the first T20 played in Sano, Japan today.
Chasing a target of 98, Ranmith Jayasena top scored with an unbeaten 25 off 26 balls, as Sri Lanka reached the target with 27 deliveries to spare.
Emerging XI captain Dellon Peiris, who took three wickets to restrict Japan to 97 for 6 in their 20 overs, also made an unbeaten contribution with the bat, scoring 17 off 19 balls.
