Sri Lanka Customs records highest-ever daily revenue

Sri Lanka Customs achieved its highest-ever daily revenue collection yesterday (15), marking a historic milestone in the institution’s history.

According to Customs, a record Rs. 24,918 million was collected in tax revenue on October 15, 2025. As of that date, the total revenue collected for the year stands at Rs. 1,867 billion.

Officials noted that with this performance, the annual revenue target of Rs. 2,115 billion set for 2025 is well within reach and likely to be surpassed in the coming months.
