You can hire the best in the world, but end of the day they don't go into the field and if the players mess up it will be a waste of money.

Absolutely. When SL won the WC in 1996, they didn't have a world renowned crickter as coach. SL winning the WC in 1996 made the coach world famous. Since then SL had had several reputed coaches with no success whatsoever.

Yes players should be able to jump 6ft high to avoid sixers.

Looks like there are more coaching staff than the players. Better appoint a personal trainer for each one these chicken hearted players.

Back when Trevor Penney was SL coach he told TM Dilshan that he's a good batsman and a good bowler but his Fielding well he said to work with him after practices, well Penney asked him to field some balls from Covers and hit the Stumps 10 Times, at the beginning Dilshan took 200 plus throws to hit 10 Times at the wicket. Six months after Dilshan was hitting the Stumps 10 times with Less than 20 throws at the wicket!! Dilshan became Jonty Rhodes calibre Cover Fielder with lots of hard work to get at that level,!! Well rest is history!!

The problem is with the players, The attitude , The Dicipline, approach, preparation, willingness to walk the whole 9 yards to genuinely be fit and make it to the 1st 1X, dropping the ego and arrogance All these poor jonty cannot instill in our band of party poopers. Once they rectify these even a local school cricket coach is sufficient to make SL a winning team
