Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Navy seize 6.8 kg of gold, arrest two suspects

Colombo, March 10 (Daily Mirror) - Based on naval intelligence, a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and the Sri Lanka Navy off the waters of Kankesanthurai led to the arrest of two suspects.

They recovered 6.865 kilograms of gold concealed in a fishing boat during the operation.

The suspects, along with the seized gold and the boat, were handed over to the Customs Preventive Office in Kankesanthurai for further investigation and legal action.
