These guys average players couldn't hold their place in the team because of incosistancy and how can uch fellows select a proper team. They mayy be not corrupted. BUT NOT SUITABLE AT ALL

Doesn't look convincing at all. Where is this country going nose diving faster than gravity could pull?

There are no strong characters in the name list.... why can't they nominate. Sidath/ Roshan/ Murali/ Sanath/ Aravinda for the selection committee... because the minister knows he and SLC cannot control those prominent figures and cannot manipulate the team.selection.... now they have appointed some puppets to the selection committee...

Arjuna brought fame to our country. Why not these politicians bring him as the head and leave politics out of cricket. There is no future to cricket unless politicians washed their hands.

    Samad Tuesday, 12 December 2023 08:04 PM

Arjuna has been involved in politics every way possible for the last 2 decades. His brother was also part of the previous SLC board that cleaned the coffins and made SLC bankrupt after a hosting a World cup. SLC does not need a one wonder miracle man to "Save cricket". Instead, someone whos willing to use their brains and put in a better system to reduce corruption and to run the organization more efficiently.

    What a comedy of errors.

The new selection committee lack clarity!! It's evident that can't get any decent people to be part of SLC.

    Ram Tuesday, 12 December 2023 02:50 AM

Nothing will work until the SLC Board headed by Shammi is removed as the Board can always get round the new committees by baiting them

Never heard anyone other than Upil Tharanga playing for the national team. Even Upul Tharanga was a batsman scoring zeros in majority of matches he played.

Ideal choice Tuesday, 12 December 2023 10:41 PM

I once was fortunate to travel on a flight with SL cricketers. Upul and Don Arunasiri were seated in my row. Upul was next to me. Throughout the entire journey he never uttered a word with (Arunadiri was just the opposite). How can an introvert like Upul perform such a role. He'll be a puppet on a chain. The ideal foil for those corrupt people.

    What a joke,

    muthutantri Tuesday, 12 December 2023 07:39 AM

PERFECT, none of them are excellent cricketers. no one captained, no one has any disciplinary issues?

    Sambo Tuesday, 12 December 2023 08:14 AM

What kind of officials are we having. Over hundred or so to maintain a team of 15. No wonder we loose all are matches. Too many cooks spoil the soup.

    Man Tuesday, 12 December 2023 09:23 AM

Except Tharanga Paranawithana, all others still playing cricket. It is doubtful how those can perform their duties well.

    Waco Tuesday, 12 December 2023 09:53 AM

Mr. Minister merely playing cricket is not sufficient to serve as a committee Member. Education and intelligent are two deferent things. Understand that.
